Polypropylene plastic cosmetic bottles are characterized by being semi-transparent to opaque (with the addition of brightening agents), low density (lightweight), excellent chemical resistance (especially against oils and solvents), good heat resistance (can be steam sterilized), high hardness, good toughness, and low cost. Disadvantages include lower transparency compared to PETG/AS, potential brittleness at low temperatures, susceptibility to UV radiation (requiring the addition of UV stabilizers), and relatively lower surface gloss. Polyethylene plastic cosmetic bottles, made of HDPE, are characterized by being opaque or semi-transparent, high hardness, good rigidity, good chemical resistance (especially against acids and alkalis), low cost, and easy processing. They are commonly used for thicker cream jars, caps, and large-capacity shower gel bottles. LDPE/LLDPE is characterized by its softer texture, better toughness, and slightly higher transparency than HDPE. It is commonly used for tubes, bottle cap liners, and extruded bottle bodies. It can be applied to packaging for detergent products (shower gel, shampoo), cream jars, various bottle caps (especially inner caps/gaskets requiring good sealing), and tubes.

PETG plastic cosmetic bottles are characterized by high transparency, high gloss (comparable to glass), excellent impact resistance, good chemical resistance, ease of printing and decoration (hot stamping, screen printing, etc.), and recyclability. The processing temperature is lower than PET. The disadvantages are higher cost than PP/PE, moderate heat resistance (usually below 70°C), and slightly lower hardness compared to AS. It can be used for high-end serum bottles, toner bottles, lotion bottles, perfume bottles (when a glass-like texture is desired), and packaging with high display requirements. It is a popular choice for enhancing product prestige.
