Some basic quality requirements for plastic cosmetic tubes

Cosmetic soft tubes are commonly used packaging materials for cosmetics. They are classified into round tubes, oval tubes, flat tubes, and ultra-flat tubes based on their manufacturing processes. According to product structure, they can be divided into single-layer, double-layer, and five-layer tubes, which differ in terms of pressure resistance, permeability prevention, and hand feel. For instance, a five-layer tube consists of an outer layer, an inner layer, two adhesive layers, and a barrier layer. Appearance Requirements of plastic cosmetic tube: In principle, visual inspection should be conducted under natural light or a 40W fluorescent lamp at a distance of approximately 30 cm. There should be no surface depressions, impressions (no diagonal lines at the end), scratches, abrasions, or burns. The surface of cosmetic soft tube should be smooth, both inside and outside should be clean, the gloss should be uniform and consistent with the standard sample, and there should be no obvious unevenness, extra stripes, scratches or indentations, deformations, wrinkles, or other abnormalities. No foreign matter should be adhered, and the total number of small depressions on the entire tube should not exceed 5. For tubes with a net content of ≥100 ml, up to 2 "blossoms" are allowed; for tubes with a net content of <100 ml, up to 1 "blossom" is allowed.

The plastic cosmetic tube body and cap should be flat, without burrs, damage, or missing threads. The cosmetic soft tube end should be tightly sealed, with a straight sealing line, consistent sealing width, and a standard sealing height of 3.5 - 4.5 mm. The height deviation of the sealing line on the same tube should not exceed 0.5 mm.

Defects of plastic cosmetic tube: Any damage (including the tube or cap), closed mouth, paint layer peeling off > 5 square millimeters on the cosmetic soft tube surface, cracked sealing end, broken head, or severe thread deformation.

Hygiene of plastic cosmetic tube: The tube and cap should be clean both inside and out, with no obvious dirt, dust, or foreign matter inside. There should be no dust, oil stains, or other foreign matter, no peculiar smell, and they should meet Eco-friendly cosmetic tube hygiene requirements for cosmetic-grade packaging materials: that is, the total bacterial count should be ≤ 10 cfu, and no Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, or Staphylococcus aureus should be detected.
